APO achieves COSMOS-Standard and joins the British Beauty Council

The beauty industry brings in a phenomenal amount of revenue for the retail sector, with services ranging from cosmetics to hairdressing. British consumers spent approximately £33 billion on personal care in 2019 which shows an increasing demand for beauty products and services.

During Covid-19 lockdowns the beauty industry, particularly its service providers, suffered immensely and despite restrictions now lifting, drops in sales and revenue are being reported. Our cosmetics team have been working hard to continue to bring the best products to the market and their hard work has paid off, with our CBD Isolate (Cannabidiol) achieving COSMOS-standard approval. CBD oil is known to have calming, healing, and pain relief properties- our skin can benefit from these effects. CBD is also a powerful antioxidant and can help avoid harmful free-radical damage which can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The COSMOS-Standard aims to promote the use of responsibly and sustainably sourced natural materials to promote transparency between businesses and consumers. The criteria for the COSMOS-standard is in place to ensure that consumers can trust that a company’s products and materials are genuine and natural cosmetic products that have been produced with the highest sustainability practices.

In addition to achieving COSMOS-Standard approval, Always Pure Organics are further contributing to the cosmetic and beauty industry in a variety of other ways. The British Beauty Council aims to represent the voices of the beauty industry in Britain by working with businesses to promote awareness and ensure that the industry is recognised and valued. “APO are honoured to be a part of this movement and we’re proud to announce that we’re now patrons of the British Beauty Council, and we look forward to collaborating with them to help support the beauty industry in Britain.” – Stephanie Cowan, Head of Cosmetic Sales APO.
