Fierce, fluffy brows are here to stay! The secret weapon – a modern day “perm” for the brows called Brow Lamination.
This easy to apply treatment is gaining popularity in brow bars like BBM London and PerfectionElements. Just google search #BrowLamination and you will be hit with over 5,000 posts of full, bold brows on beauties from all over the world. So what exactly is Brow Lamination, and how do you achieve it? Manouk de Vries, founder of Supercilium, is here to reveal the mystery behind this brow craze with tips & tricks from her newest brow lamination products, Brow Glaze!
Ok, so what exactly is Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination, similar to a lash lift, shapes and molds the brows in an upright position, resulting in a semi-permanent solution that lasts four to eight weeks. Similar to a lash lift, brow lamination straightens the brow hair with a gentle, chemical solution like Brow Glaze. It gives clients the look of symmetry, fullness and definition.
Who needs Brow Lamination?
This treatment is definitely not for everyone. The effect can appear daring and powerful, so it’s best used on clients who really want to make a statement. It works best on fuller, thicker brows that are unruly and need structure. With Brow Glaze you can groom the brows and arrange the hairs into place with a priming glue before starting the treatment, but bear in mind the results won’t be the same with thinner brows lacking hair.
How does it work?
The process is for professionals only, and takes between 20 – 30 minutes. It can be easilyachieved using a Brow Glaze starter kit which has everything you need to complete the treatment – including tools andcleanser.
To start, you clean and brush the hairs into the desired position using a primer glue to position the hairs into place if necessary. You start with Relaxing Solution, which makes the hair soft and manageable. Using plastic wrap, you cover the brows and wait a few minutes before removing.
Next you apply The Laminat, which contains the chemicals needed to keep the hairs in place. With a micro brush you brush the hairs again in the desired shape and cover again with plastic wrap for a few minutes.
The last step is the Nourishing Elixir, which restores the hair structure and leaves your clients brows looking shiny and healthy.
Do you have any tips and tricks on how I can sell this in my salon?
Introducing new treatments to your salon is always super exciting and with enough buzz and fantastic results, this also helps to bring on new clients! Brow Glaze can be offered in addition to other treatments, like brow tinting and Supercilium Brow Henna. Although, we recommend that you not combine the treatments and apply it all at once, as it can be quite intense on the skin and hair. We would suggest waiting a few days between. In regards to pricing, we always recommend that you research local salons in your area to see what their prices are for brow lamination and stay competitive.
Where can I buy BrowLamination?
At www.supercilium.com! Starting September 20th, we will be selling a Brow Glaze Starter Kit online that consists of everything needed to complete the treatment including a Botanical Cleanser, the Relaxing Solution, The Laminat, Nourishing Elixir, priming glue and tools to comb and shape the brow hairs, for €85.00.
