An essential diagnostic study for all clinical skin care professionals

This course leads on perfectly from advanced skin science although it can also be completed as a stand alone course, either way providing you with superior understanding and skill in the practice of advanced skin health evaluation. As a key route to to safe and effective clinical skin treatment, advanced assessment of the aesthetic client can be achieved through the interpretation of intrinsic and extrinsic medical, environmental and lifestyle influences and a superior knowledge of cosmetic dermatology to enable the full recognition of skin dysfunction, disorder and disease. This will lead to more extensive treatment programmes, higher retail sales, better results and consequently greater client satisfaction and retention.

This course is made up of one unit of study:
Unit 3 – Investigative Consultation & Advanced Skin Assessment

Course Unit Format – 7 Modules + 1 Day Workshop:

Module 2 – Lifestyle & Environmental Analysis
Module 3 – Medical Influences On Skin Health And Condition
Module 4 – The Primary & Secondary Skin Types
Module 5 – Advanced Observational Analysis
Module 6 – Skin Diagnostic Tools & Equipment
Module 7 – Defining Treatment Plans, Consolidation & Case Studies

​Optional additional unit:
Unit 7 – The Principles and Practices of the Medispa Sector
This unit of study can be added onto your qualification. It is made up of a series of one-day short courses, seminars and workshops to provide you with the opportunity to learn from some of the most prominent practitioners in the aesthetic industry. It is designed to enable you to gain additional knowledge and insight into a wide range of subject areas not included in your level 4 course but which are of interest to your future career or business progression

Course Delivery (Theory Element)- Online audio visual presentations, course folder & case study workbook

Course Delivery (Practical Workshop) – 1 day attendance

Course Assessment – Online multiple choice questions, written assessment booklet, portfolio compilation, case study workbook and final theory exam.

Course Duration- This is completely flexible but, on average , you need to allow 25 guided learning hours plus private study time, plus one day workshop.
